Frequently Asked Questions
If your question isn't here, just ask. A real person will answer.
What if I'm not sure what kind of support is needed?
That's completely fine. Many families come to us knowing something isn't working but not knowing exactly what kind of support would help. We start by listening and help determine the right next step.
How do you match students with educators?
We look beyond subject expertise. We consider the student's academic needs, personality, confidence, communication style, goals, schedule, and the kind of educator they are most likely to connect with.
Do you only work with school-age students?
No. We support students from Grade 3 through college and beyond, including college students and young adults preparing for exams such as the LSAT, MCAT, GRE, and other professional or licensing exams.
Are sessions online?
Most Significant Educators support is provided online, allowing us to match students with the right educator rather than limiting families to whoever happens to be nearby.
How long are sessions?
We offer 15-, 30-, and 45-minute or longer options depending on the student and the type of support needed.
Do we have to commit to a long-term program?
No. Some students need ongoing support, while others need help for a shorter period of time. We recommend support based on the student's actual needs and adjust as those needs change.
What happens after I contact you?
We start with a real conversation. We learn what's going on, help determine what kind of support makes sense, and, when appropriate, thoughtfully match the student with the right educator.
